Everybody knows Now the story of Daniel Morel, photographer Haiti. This photo-journalist was the first to take photos of the earthquake on January 12 in Port-au-Prince and he has published a section on TwitPic probably because he wanted the world to realize the disaster and that had no other way to available for broadcast.
I published 13 January a post on this subject in "One pincer for Port-au-Prince" (Click) with excerpts from the thread and messages he has received from around the world. One type was pumped full of photos and it is assigned paternity. They were released under his name (Lisandro Suero) which added to the confusion. But AFP could not ignore that Daniel Morel was the author of the photos since a message from the office of New York appeared in the thread of messages addressed to Daniel Morel on behalf Twitpic. The AFP has issued despite that the pictures in the world and across all media under the credit AFP / Getty considering that the publication of pictures worth Twitpic abandonment of rights for the photographer. Daniel Morel is obviously no agreement.
